Angel-Cherry Whytock

My current obsession! I luv this series featuring angel and her 3 friends Minnie, Portia and Mercedes as they meet boys, go abroad, discover pariental affairs, and have the time of their lives. You definitely should not miss this one out. It is quite similar to Gergia Nicholson's confessions though.

Artemis Fowl-The arctic incident

This book is meant to be 4 12-13 years old, a bit younger 4 me, but it was ok. Although i'm not really sure why it is an international bestseller. The story continues with Artemis Fowl the 1st book. I guess the author Eoin Colfer in some ways is trying to copy J.K.Rowling, as his style of writing is astonishingly similar to that of J.K.Rowling. Eg. the way they introduce a character who was in the previous book, Commander Root. P.s THere is a code tht runs along the bottom of the book. I had fun trying to decode the message, i did, but not to ruin the fun, i will just give u a tiny hint...use the poem on page 145. and i will say no more.

At home in the world

an 18 year old Joyce Maynard, a student at Yale, in 1972, wrote about her life, including her very seemlying weird family, and her rendevzous with J.D.Salinger,i definitely recommend it. Great read!

Despereaux

New berry Medal winner. The books i read ahave usually won some kind of award. The adventures of Desperaux Tilling, a small mouse of unusual talents, the princess that he loves, the servant girl who longs to be a princess, and a devious rat determined to bring them all to ruin.Being the story of a mouse, a princess, some soup, and a spool of thread." What prompted Kate DiCamillo to write such a book? According to the author, "My best friend's son asked if I would write a story for him. 'It's about an unlikely hero,' he said, 'with exceptionally large ears.' When DiCamillo asked him, "What happened to the hero," his response was, "I don't know. That's why I want you to write this story, so we can find out."

The result is a wildly entertaining novel with some important messages about being yourself and redemption. The characters include a very special mouse with an affinity for music, a princess named Pea, and Miggery Sow, a poorly treated, slow-witted serving girl. Since every tale needs a villian, even a sometimes sympathetic one, there is a rat named Roscuro to fill that role. This odd assortment of characters is drawn together because of their desire for something more, but it is Despereaux Tilling, the unlikely hero with large ears, who, along with the narrator, is the star of the show. As the narrator states,

Dancing in my nuddy pants Louise Rennison

She is fabbity fab. My fav author, i lobe you!Further confessions of Georgia

Dancing in my Nuddy-Pants is the kind of book you need to hole yourself up in your room to read, cuz you're gonna be laughing like a fool through the whole thing! It's the fourth installment of Georgia Nicolson's diary and it's très amusant (Georgia has a habit of slipping into French, German and even some made-up words of her own!)

Elske-Cythia Voigt

She is abit too young for love, only 13, and gonna be married? WTF|

Fearless series by Francine Pascal

There are in total 36 sequels to this story of a teenager who possesses the fearless gene from birth. The people around her are facinated and attracted to her beauty as well as her lengthy martial arts training since age 5(?I'm not sure on that one)She is mystified by the truth, and seldomly happy as she has to protect all the people she loves by alienating them. Great read! But i think the plot may become never ending and repetitive afterawhile.

Feed

Image hosted by Photobucket.comThis book is about a totally distopia kind of world where the inhabitants are blissfully innocent of their actual surroundings. VERY MATRIX LIKE. where the denizens all hav a feed (computer chip stuck inside their brains)this novel reflects on the authors character, as he went to great heights to write this book, he confessed tht infact, during the process of writing this book, he had eavestropped on pplz conversations just to get an inspiration for this book, by the way, this book won the whitebread winner of the year award.as u can c on the front cover

Flipped-Wendelin Van Draanen

Love life as told from boy and girl perspective Cute

From out of the shadows

Written by the winner of the Whitbread Childen's Book Award-Jamila Gavin. The first story was very eloquent and touching, using simple but powerful words, the other ones were a bit scary, I think this book is similar to behind the museum in that they are all quite scary

Hearts desire-Laura Pederson

One of my fav authors wrote this novel. The best in the world! It is not phony, fake or shallow, in fact , it promotes easy reading and lots of laughs. I love it!

The Alchemist-Paulo Coelou

Bestselling author Paulo Coelho wrote this self discovery novel about a shepherd who meets many mysterious and interesting people who teaches him something new everytime. Good, lucid writing, however, i don't know why he sold over 2 million copies for this

The education of little tree-Forrest Carter

This is a touching autobiography about death of a beloved one. Little Tree is a American Indian who lost his parents and who have come to live with his grandparents. His grandparents taught him many useful skills such as how to make fermented beer, how to be kind, care for nature etc. In this novel, the author reveals the racial hate for American Indians and the cruelty of Colonizers (British). I feel very sad after reading this novel

The nine lives of Chloe King

I totally recommend this series, although sometimes it can be shallow, however, its still a pretty original plot about a girl named Chloe King who finds herself the leader of a sect called the Mai.

The princess and the pauper

Pretty funny, and the plot is refreshing, not really copied from anywhere. The end was good too, except the novel didn't appear to be real, as the plot is quite farfetched. There will always be good books and bad one, but I think this one is okay.

The year of Secret Assignments Jaclyn Moriarty

Lets just say im disappointed, the back of the book is misleading. I thought that this would be a good read but in fact its quite shallow. No need to experience it your self.

The year my life went down the loo-Katie Maxwell

This teen novel is written by Katie -a New York best seller. And guess what, its a debut! The title attracted me greatly so I started flipping through it. The story is about anamerican girl who moves to England and meets all these Coolio people, especially guys, I think 2 guys , one called Fang, and another guy who is her best friend's brother fall for her, the ending is quite funny, but i won't spoil it for you.Read it.
